WHAT IS THIS CHALLENGE ALL ABOUT?
In a nutshell, this 6-week challenge is about feeling better, looking better, and thinking better.
The goals for this challenge:
• Increase knowledge about good nutrition
• Encourage healthy lifestyle
• Gain control over habits and behaviours
• Improve mindful eating
• Create accountability, encouragement, and support
• Encourage a mindset shift for approaching nutrition and lifestyle
• Inspire positive daily rituals
• Focus on quality nutrition, improve sleep, increase hydration, consistent exercise, and positive mindset
WHEN IS IT?
September 14th - October 25th, 2020
WHAT'S INVOLVED? WHAT WILL I HAVE TO DO?
WEIGHING, MEASURING, AND LOGGING FOOD
Now, before you throw in the towel because you don’t want to weigh, measure, and log the food that you eat, know this…
FACT: Understanding the quantity of Calories and the macronutrient breakdown of the food that you eat WILL set you apart from the rest when it comes to aesthetics, performance, and longevity of health.
FACT: There is an optimal caloric and macronutrient level for your unique body and your specific goals.
By educating yourself on, and practicing, what nutrition looks like for you at your optimal level, you then have the CHOICE to apply any number of changes to your nutrition beyond the challenge.
If you don’t have the knowledge, you don’t have the choice.
GROUP ACCOUNTABILITY AND PARTICIPATION
You will be added to a private Challenge Facebook group as well as a private group on MyFitnessPal. Getting involved will enhance your experience by motivating and encouraging you to get the most out of the challenge.
MORE SLEEP AND MORE WATER
Two of the opportunities to earn points in this challenge are awarded daily based on increasing sleep time and increasing hydration.
DAILY MINDSET PRACTICE
Mindset is huge.
There have been literally thousands of scientific studies done that explore the effect of mindset on progress, achievement, and success.
Mindset shift, however, does not happen overnight. It is not easy to do when you are having a bad day, or things aren’t going your way, or you get some bad news, or someone gives you a hard time, or any other thing that happens to any of us on any given day.
This is why we practice.
CONSISTENT AND APPROPRIATE EXERCISE
Earn points for daily exercise…
But there is a caveat to this one.
It is important to balance physical output with what your body has available to give, especially when it comes to high intensity physical activity (aka. CrossFit).
This challenge includes points for high intensity workouts as well as recovery workouts, and rest day activities.
BODY COMPOSITION SCAN
The scale is a nice tool but it doesn’t paint the full picture.
We will perform an InBody Body Composition scan at the beginning of the challenge and another at the end. This will allow you to see how your body has changed in total body weight, total skeletal muscle mass, and total body fat.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
The cost for the challenge is $150.
WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?
You will receive a bunch of support in the way of food lists, recipes, strategies, accountability groups, daily mindset practices, weekly score sheets, and an in-box leaderboard.
HOW DO I WIN? WHAT DO I WIN?
This challenge is not about who loses the most weight or who gains the most muscle.
This is about doing your best for you.
You will accumulate points daily for nutrition, hydration, recovery, exercise, and mindset.
The top three points scorers at the end of the six weeks will receive prizes.
